Happy Monday!
In order to save time and streamline things, my goal is to send a weekly Monday Message with updates from WMEA and to share out any news from our region. If there is anything you would like me to send to the group, feel free to pass it along to me, and I will add it to my Monday announcements.
UPCOMING DATES
FROM WMEA - Scott Ketron, Executive Director
The Oregon Convention Center only has 800 parking spots. We expect 2000+ delegates this year along with all the exhibitors, performers and audiences. Travel Portland will provide 2 Max line day pass tickets per room in the Northwest hotel blocks linked on our website. These tickets will be distributed in the conference registration packets. The Max delivers you right to the front door of the Oregon Convention Center. This is better than parking there. (cheaper too) The hotels also charge a lot for parking. If you can avoid bringing your car the Max gets you where you need to go including the airport and the Amtrak station. (even in the downtown hotels) You may save money by not driving.

AROUND THE REGION
News for the Voice: If your school has done something exciting, please pass along the info to me so we can add it to the Voice Magazine. Submissions for the next issue are due to me by Oct. 31st.
Additional Email from me this week: To make things easier to track, I will be sending two additional emails this week The first will ask for you to share with me your performance schedule to create a region event calendar. I also plan to try and attend a performance at every school in our region over the course of the next two years. The second will contain some additional documents to examine regarding Dr. Boers CLaS choral rubric forms.
Updated Contact List: I am continuing to input the updates for our contact list from our meeting last month. Once they are input I will send a draft copy to everyone to confirm that everything is accurate.
Have a great rest of your week.
